Sensation Comics 1 - An Amazon With an Identity Crisis

Sensation Comics v1 #1, 1942 - After her debut in All Star Comics #8, Wonder Woman becomes the lead feature in this golden age series. In addition to her first cover and ongoing series, this comic also debuts two new superheroes. In separate stories, professional boxer Ted Grant dons a feline costume to become Wildcat, while genius-athlete Terry Sloane decides to fight crime as Mr. Terrific. The rest of the book introduces lesser known characters like Little Boy Blue, the Black Pirate and the Gay Ghost (yes that's his name).

Wonder Woman's first solo adventure was written by William Marston and drawn by Harry Peter.

Charles Reizenstein and artist Hal Sharp produced "Mr. Terrific".
